Under China's "dual carbon" goals and the global energy transition, JinkoSolar, a leading PV company, continues to expand its global footprint. This growth has led to a surge in IT systems, increasingly complex architectures, and mounting pressure on IT Development and Operations collaboration. Breaking down data silos and enabling end-to-end collaboration and automated management from IT development to IT operations have become critical to supporting globally distributed business operations.
To address these challenges, JinkoSolar partnered with CanWay. Built on the CanWay PaaS and integrating CanWay Pipelines (CCI), CanWay Artifac(CPack), the two companies jointly developed an integrated IT Development and Operations management platform. The solution resolved two longstanding challenges — multi-cloud asset management and fragmented IT development and operations tools — marking a major step toward digital, intelligent IT operations.
1. Background: Surging Scale Drives IT Operations Upgrade
As JinkoSolar scales its operations — with multiple global data centers, over 1,000 physical machines, and nearly 10,000 virtual machines — the traditional manual, spreadsheet-based IT operations model is no longer sustainable.
Chaotic asset management: Many technical attributes are maintained manually, auto-discovery is limited, historical data is inconsistent, and resource relationships cannot be visualized clearly.
Fragmented IT development and operationstools: IT development tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Apifox operate independently, with disconnected processes and data. Developers must switch between multiple platforms, and auditing becomes difficult.
Complex release processes: Releases rely on multiple plugins and custom scripts, making configuration highly complex. Resources delivered by IT operations cannot be consumed quickly by IT development, increasing communication overhead.
Compliance and audit challenges: Account permissions for open-source components cannot be synchronized with the company's unified identity system. Audit information is scattered, making it difficult to meet financial-grade compliance and audit requirements.
To address these challenges, JinkoSolar partnered with CanWay on the WeOps R&D-Operations project to build an integrated platform with a unified portal, unified data, and unified processes.
2. Core Initiatives: A Three-Pronged Approach to Reshaping IT Development and Operations
The project centers on three core initiatives —unified asset modeling, end-to-end IT Development and Operations connectivity, and monitoring-log integration—rolled out in phases to upgrade infrastructure and application delivery.

Business Flow Chart
Building a CMDB Hub for Full-Lifecycle Asset Visibility and Control
Full-domain asset onboarding: Through automated discovery and standardized model import, hosts, network devices, databases, virtual machines, and cloud resources are brought into a unified CMDB. Data centers, physical servers, and most business systems are now fully connected.
Flexible relationship topology: Moving beyond static Excel data, the system automatically builds dynamic business-service-host relationships and visual topologies. It supports multidimensional drill-down from business, infrastructure, and software perspectives.
Automated process governance: All asset changes are integrated with OA workflows, enabling full-lifecycle governance and automatic write-back across onboarding, allocation, modification, and retirement — keeping configuration data accurate in real time.

Connecting the End-to-End DevOps Chain to Break Down Tool Silos
One-stop CI/CD pipeline: Using an innovative "channel" concept, pipelines are built from modular steps and assembled flexibly through atomic action plugins. Developers can customize orchestration to automate the flow from code commit and compilation to code inspection and deployment. Today, more than 20 project teams and 80 pipelines run stably on the platform.
Unified artifact repository management: By integrating Nexus dependency services with local repositories, the solution centralizes management of dependency and deployment packages across development, build, and archival scenarios. More than 300 artifacts are now under management.
Unified permissions and auditing: Integrated with JinkoSolar's HR system and SSO, the solution provides fine-grained permission control, including organizational authorization and tiered permission management. All operations have end-to-end audit trails, with one-click audit reports — eliminating scattered permissions and difficult auditing in open-source tools.

Building a Multidimensional Monitoring and Log System — From Reactive Firefighting to Proactive Alerting
Full-stack monitoring and alerting: Integrated with Zabbix and extended with web probing, database, and middleware monitoring, the platform establishes a unified alert center. Alert correlation and analytics significantly reduce noise from invalid alerts.
Massive log search in seconds: Powered by a full-text search engine, the platform ingests TB-level log data across hundreds of categories. Keyword search returns results in seconds, enabling fault localization without manually logging into servers.
Visual dashboards and reports: Customized 3D application dashboards, capacity reports, and alert analytics show CPU, memory, disk, and other resource usage from system and regional perspectives, supporting capacity planning.

3. Results
With the successful rollout of the integrated IT Development and Operations platform, JinkoSolar achieved a major leap in IT operations and IT development collaboration efficiency.
Data-driven assets, precision management: The transformation from spreadsheet silos to a dynamic asset repository is complete. Asset relationships are clearly traceable, full-lifecycle governance is online, and the audit compliance pass rate has increased by 90%.
Significant IT Development and Operations efficiency gains: IT development staff no longer switch between multiple tools. Automated pipeline releases have cut deployment time from hours to minutes. With resource delivery fully connected, IT development wait time has dropped by 70%.
Significantly enhanced system stability: Multidimensional monitoring now covers all core business and infrastructure. Fault detection has moved from manual inspections to minute-level automated alerting. Three terabytes of logs provide a solid foundation for root cause analysis and security auditing.
Financial-grade permission control: The platform is fully integrated with the group's identity source. Permissions can be refined down to the operation-button level, meeting the most stringent internal audit and compliance requirements.

4. Looking Ahead: Embracing AIOps and Moving Toward a New Era of Intelligent IT Operations
Building on current success, JinkoSolar and CanWay will continue to deepen their collaboration, introducing LLM capabilities to advance further into intelligent IT operations:
Intelligent Knowledge Q&A: Build an IT operations knowledge base that answers routine operations questions through natural language interaction, lowering the barrier for new employees.

Intelligent Error Log Analysis: Use AI algorithms to automatically analyze large volumes of error logs, quickly identifying code defects or configuration issues and supporting remediation decisions.

Automation and Process Integration: Further integrate OA with standard IT operations to automate the delivery of more service tickets, creating a zero-touch intelligent IT operations experience.

In the future, CanWay will continue to help JinkoSolar build a globally leading "platform + data + intelligence" IT Development and Operations system, setting a benchmark for digital transformation in the PV industry.
